Canadian Citizenship

Becoming a Canadian citizen is one of the most rewarding opportunities you will ever have.

As a Canadian citizen you will strengthen your community and work together with all other Canadians for a stronger Canada.
The most important part of our job is to ensure you meet all the requirements for citizenship before submitting your application. The requirements are very technical.

Since becoming a permanent resident, you must have:
  • been physically in Canada for at least 1,095 days in the five years before you apply
  • filed income taxes (if required by the Income Tax Act) for any three taxation years that are fully or partially within the five years before you apply
You must also be able to (unless you are 55 or older at the time of application):
  • communicate (speak and understand) in English or French
  • show, in English or French, knowledge about Canada and the responsibilities and privileges of citizenship
What applications does your office process?
  • Adult Citizenship (18 and over)
  • Minor Canadian Citizenship (under 18)
  • Adopted person Canadian Citizenship
  • Stateless person born to a Canadian parent
  • Apply for a citizenship certificate (or replacement)
  • Resume Canadian Citizenship

We can also assist you in obtaining your Canadian Passport soon after you become Canadian citizen.
Are there any government fees?

The processing fee you must pay to the government is CAD $630 per person over 18 years of age. For children, the processing fee is CAD $100. This fee may be subject to change at any time by the Government of Canada.

What are your service fees?
Citizenship application: CAD $490 – $1,290. Fees are subject to 13% HST tax. A citizenship application may become complex when you have travelled or lived outside of Canada often within the last 5 years before applying. This requires specific calculations and it’s best to hire a knowledgeable Consultant.
